Havelock North offers a huge range of opportunities and activities for the retired person with active clubs, a range of modern retirement villages and the village focal point - the Havelock North Community Centre - hosting a range of events and groups.

Due to the villages compact shopping area, and a concerted effort by the local authority to ensure that facilities are aged friendly, it is possible for residents to remain active in all facets of community life.
